Colors for 60mm WP Smoke and 60mm Illumination round for WWII

I know they were both painted gray during WWII. The pictures I have seen show the WP to be gray with yellow lettering and the Illumination round gray with black lettering. My question is, are they the same color gray. From the photo's it seems the WP is a light gray and the Illumination appears to be a darker gray. Is this right, or are they the same color.

from what I recall .......Illum round would be a whitish grey and WP smoke will be a light gull-grey ?????
