They did not teach much about the Battle of Little Bighorn while I was there. I recall poor ammunition maintenance was taught as the leading cause of the defeat - cartridges would not come out of leather belts due to verdigris. That turned out to be incorrect. I never really appreciated the battle until I visited the battlefield in 2016. I have also read everything I can find on it. It is absolutely fascinating to study with so many myths to wade through.
If you recall, there is a column statue monument of Kościuszko closer to water https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tadeusz_Ko%C5%9Bciuszko. Well, yesterday the column and the statue were gone. Hope it is a restoration and has nothing to do with other statues being taken down all over the country.
