Is "H" the indication for Hajek? The H is also seen on the pretty uncommon 9 cm cases. I also notice the letter "F" which I think is pretty uncommon. Any idea what that is?

Yes, I think H is Hájek. Among other things, he also produced: ... artillery cartridges. Military supervision through ZTÚ 8 (Armament Technical Office 8 /Prag/...) which took over production for the army and export in this company (those are the lion symbols with the letter and number on the cartridge)Do you have a photo of a 9cm cartridge when it was possible, including a side view and the length of the cartridge?i.e. is it a 9cm mortar M.17... or 9cm PL vz.12/20?
Akon

I don't have the actual collection anymore, my 2 cases were 90x78R100 and marked 9 cm vz28, both dated 1930, with the large "H".
