Demolition / booby trap items as issued by SOE

I stopped at a small roadside museum in Normandy, on the coast road somewhere between Arromanches and Pointe du Hoc (sorry but my memory is godawful lately), where I took these photos. Snouts for attachment of safety fuse / instantaneous fuse are shown attached to pull / pressure release switches and time pencils (crayon allumeur a retardement). The creve pneu is a small explosive device for blowing vehicle tyres.

I also agree, good pics! I have always had a certain attraction towards Booby-Traps. This was because of the school I went to that taught to know what to look for and how to disarm within reason, that is.

Some of those were still in service in the early 1980s. If you input MD1 soe into google, one of the sites advertises exact replicas of one of the switches for 29.99.

MOD still lists Switches No4 (Pull), No5 (Pressure) and No6 (Release) on its ESTC database. There may still be some legacy stocks of these tried and tested articles still in service.
