A young Austrian country boy sold into virtual serfdom in 1927 https://www.imdb.com/title/tt14439178/. When he is freed in 1937, he has no one in the world and he joins Austrian Army. He finds a fox cub in the forest and the fox travels with him in a motorcycle all over Europe. He is a Wehrmacht motorcycle courier. A true (but probably expanded) story. The boy is the film director's great grandfather.
