I opened your post to see what it was refering to and was suprised to see what it was.......I can say that it was not me that won this particular item this time around, but I can say that I won the self same items some years back on E-Bay, so if its help with the markings etc' you are after give me a shout.

I think you had a lucky escape mate,thats a lot of money for one of those! there is a WW2 dated 2" on e-bay with a starting bid of 9.99 from a seller called fennegg

year it did seen to fetch a lot ! whenb i first saw it it was 5 the max i saw it at was 20 witch seemed ok but i would not have paid 40 pounds form it !
