This little percussion fuze had us scratching our heads and tugging our beards over Christmas
Initial thoughts were Hotchkiss or Schenkle but not so sure now. There are no markings anywhere on this thing. It has the look of something pre 1900's
It is certainly a direct action with a plunger and striker still inside the tube. The striker is on the reverse of the head screw. Length is 61mm , top is 33mm diameter and base is 15mm diameter. There is a leather washer under the top surface.
