Looking at the thread on the Bofors 40mm drill got me thinking about drill rounds. I'm not much of a drill person - generally seems quite boring as a subject - But you cannot deny that some of the older pieces were made with a care and quality that makes them pretty special, and nice as an office piece. Here are a few of my favorites from the collection.

The first photo is of a 57mm, followed by the 75mm marked M2A2 for Pack Howitzer M1, third is another 75mm marked M19B1 MMC 1944, then a 3-inch Naval in wood. Finally not so pretty is the 20mm drill for the spotter rifle on the Davy Crockett recoiless rifle with the nuclear projectile.

As with any collection I've got lots more, but these are the favorites.

Hi US
I am always on the lookout for drill or training rounds.
I certainly count them as part of any collection - particularly if you have a penchant for a certain caliber.

I'm with US Subs re drill rounds in that they tend to be boring but some of the early wood and brass are superb and the black rubber and brass 2pr ATK one on my shelf gets admiring looks from the ladies. 2pr
