Driving band HE shell 5.5 inch 80 lb. Mk 2

What for driving band and other characteristics has the 5.5 inch HE shell 80 lb. Mk 2?

As far as I know the model numbers of the 5.5. inch HE shell 80 lb. have the following characteristics

HE 80 lb. Mk 1 = Double driving band, baseplate diameter 2.8 inch
HE 80 lb. Mk 2 = Unknown
HE 80 lb. Mk 3 = As the Mk 2, other sort of steel used
HE 80 lb. Mk 3 Converted = As the Mk 3, furnished for VT fuze
HE 80 lb. Mk 4 = New production of the the Mk 3 Converted, probbaly post WW2

The Mk. 1 was fitted with a driving band to design DD(L)11367/5
The Mk. 2 was fitted with a driving band to design DD(L)16872/1

Both designs are double driving bands. The top driving band is identical. In the case DD(L)11367/5 the visible width of the lower band is H. 0.53", with DD(L)16872/1 the visible width is H. 0.80".

Thanks for the reply. So al driving bands of the 80 lb. are double driving bands.

Am I correct that only the 100 lb. Mk 1 has a single driving band?
