E gun m24

100% moody and worth about 30.
I see some like these at Ciney and War n Peace and when I ask the sellers can i look at the replica M24 they all say "sorry we do not sell replica's " :tinysmile_angry2_t: Yeah Right!

Next time i'll enquire by asking more subtle questions about it and then, tell them it's a replica, should raise an eye-brow or two :tinysmile_tongue_t:.

If any one is intersted i have a few replicas bought for reference, I can post so that you can tell the difference between most M24s.

Best

Hi Nick
It would be an interest to our members and myself to see the difference between real and fakes ,

Damned good idea Jeeensy,
Ive seen a few over the years for sale and have always struggled to tell whether they are hooky or not?

Good idea Jeeensy.
It would be good to see some repros for reference,
The best defence for anyone contemplating purchasing a M24 is do your home work.Study originals and there markings, in particular the early variants with arming instructions applied to the head for example. I have not seen these dated past 1940, how about you Jeeensy? The repros are improving all the time and if you dont know what to watch out for you will pay a lot of money for rubbish.

Below is a link to a site worth spending the time and navigating your way around and schooling yourself up, there are some great references on spotting fakes. This site will give you a good starting point before you delve further into the subject.

Cheers chaps, i'll take some piccs over the weekend and will start to post some , they will be both genuine and replica sid by side , this will make it a touch easier, if any one has a replica that is different than the ones I have please post or send picc over to me and i'll again place side by side with originals ( with some help from photo shop ) Cheers now it's about time for some KFC and a beer :)

Eds site is excellent for reference on fake m24s the few I have are not listed so I'll mail Ed later with photo's of these.

Regards
Nick
