Early Experimental Bomb ? - Identification / ID ?

Hi

I picked this up recently at a militaria dealers stall. I think it is some kind on early experimental bomb. Does anyone have a definate ID and any further info on era, pictures of a complete one at all, or anything ? It measures 6 1/2" tall and the base diameter is 2 1/2". On the side it has 8 1/2 EXPL and on the base inner plate 8 /1/2LB EXPL then an engraved A plus a smaller engraved 21. Look forward to hearing from you guys, thanks.

It is a British 8 1/2 practise bomb.

Thanks for the quick response and link, looking at the link what kind of date would you attach to it as with the brass fittings I wondered if it may be earlier than ww2 ? Cheers
