Hi, I have 2 of these German 57mm cases but can't find anything about them. It's 185mm long and the rim is 73mm. One is dated 1895 and was reloaded 2 times and the other, undated was reloaded 5 times. Both look perfect and were made by Patronenfabrik Karlsruhe. Cheers.

The gun was simply called "6 cm Kanone" but the real calibre is 57mm like you meassured.

Thank you Alpini, is it related to the 6cm Schnellade Boots Kanone L/21? Do you have more info? Thanks

No it isn't, the Bootskanone had real 60 mm and came later. It seems most 6 cm Kanonen were mounted in Turrets in fortifications.

Thanks for showing Doppz92.
These cases are hard to find.
Interesting to see that the month is given as "VIII" which is usually only seen on cases for the navy.
Here's a picture of a 6 cm Kanone in Panzer-Turm.
