Egg Fuze

Richard . They're not technically grenade fuzes but may possibly have been used on them . It's actually a charge bag initiator for an artillery piece but the threads are the same so they will fit Kugels & eggs . I think there may have been a post on this subject before ? Mike.

As said these are propellant igniters for the German rifled mortars. I think the combination of these and grenades is a post WWI digger invention which were clueless + lacking grenade fuzes in good condition.

My Egg has one of these fitted as well. I never realised it was the wrong fuse!! It does help to stop it wondering off like a weeble however, because I display it using the fuse as a stand!

Regards

Mike
