Morning All,

I spotted this in a great junk yard this week - label stated that it was for "Bomb Recovery" but I could not verify that from the markings..............can anyone confirm this?

Thrown in a couple of other interesting items - can anyone ID the "portable type hand pumps"?

Thanks
Cheers
Drew

Hello, Drew,

I am pretty sure that it is a "Bombing -up Winch"-Is there a manufactureres name-plate, such as "Gyral Gears", J.Stone, Fairey, Roe?
As you reside in "Unfortunately", would it be likely that the winch was of US or British mfr?
Martin.

Thank you Gentlemen.

Unfortunately there were no manufacturing plates on the device.

Any thoughts on the hand pumps???

Thanks

Cheers
Drew

OX-38 is a turbine oil. so the pumps were probably used for topping up aircraft engines.
