Exploded fuse, No 101??

Heres a couple of pics of a fuse a friend brought back from France on a "battlefield tour" for me. I think its possibly a part of a No101 percussion fuse.. dated 5/16 and 8/16,has an odd marking, anyone know what the "Y" mark means?
