exploder, vent tube? striker gauge but what exactly are they?

I wonder if anyone can help identify these items and what they were used for?

The largest item, 1.75 inches tall 7/8ths wide appears to be an exploder of some sort. It has internal threads. Any thoughts what it could be from?

The middle item is marked 'Gauge -Striker, Eccentricity, small, BR SG802 1949' - how was it used and for what equipment?

The last item is 1 & 7/8ths inches long - could it be a vent tube or friction igniter?

all appear to have been sea recovered. any thoughts on what they might be or used with?

The last item looks like a internal tracer from a AP round, i have one for a 25 pdr AP but yours looks a bit smaller.

Middle one looks like a Mk2A4 primer so presumably a gauge to check eccentricity of the firing pin in the firing mechanism M1. I should imagine it would have had a replaceable soft metal insert in the centre hole to show an indent.

yes, that makes sense - to check that the firing pin is not deviating too far off dead centre. cheers, Dave

thanks mark[/QUOTEnot so sure about that Mark, the centre hole in relation to its length would be too small to be meaningful as a tracer. Dave
