One of my favourite museums is Explosion ! the museum of Naval ordnance at Priddys Hard in Gosport, Hampshire (UK) it is full of guns, mines, missiles, rockets, torpedoes, and just about everything else that went bang in the British Navy. You can even search some of the collection online, but like most museums, a large amount of the collection is not on show. I was fortunate enough to visit here a long time ago, when the site was still in the hands of the Navy, on a heritage open day, normally held in September. At that time it was very casually laid out, not being open to the public then. There are large exhibits like torpedoes and sea mines, and small ones like grenades and ammo etc. Well worth a visit if in the area. Tony.
