Hi, Im calling this an M56, as I dont have an M217 impact fuze to add to it and make it an M26A2. All thats left of this fine piece of US engineering is the frag coil, fuze well, the lower flange, and small pieces of the neck.
What is worth mentioning is the fuze well. Its the first Ive seen that has been made with a heavy gauged threaded section, very similar to the early British L2A1 lemons. Im picking this is an early M26A2. Cheers
