FAT Projectiles

Something don't look right.

I won the 37x224R M16 Case with the FAT24E8 projectile on the far right 3 or 4 years ago on GB. I always felt the projectile was too short for this case, but was happy to leave it alone until I recently picked up the two rounds to the left of it with similar projectiles. I am confident the projectile in the M16 case does not belong now.

Ok, so here we go:

L to R
1.) 37x145R - 37mm MKIII A2 1944 Air Cobra with a projectile marked "LOT 000-AE.37MM.T24E5 1943"
2.) 37x224mm - 1944 M17 with an unmarked projectile like the one to the left, except the tungsten penetrator is longer.
3.) 37x224R - M16 with a solid one piece projectile marked "FAT24E8".

I believe the projectile in case #3 belongs in an Air Cobra case or a M17 case dated 1943 - 1944. Am I thinking correctly and does anyone have any information on these projectiles?
