Here pictures of a box of rare Finnish Model 1940 chemical time delay fuzes. They were mainly used for demolition and sabotage behind enemy lines in WW2. The fuze was activated by filling it with sulphuric acid which corroded a trip wire off and released a striker. Delay time in different ambient temperatures was chosen by using different strengths of acid.
