fired 20mm ,what type??

Hi ,

Does anybody know what sort of 20mm proj. this is , found in a box of bits ,source unknown.
I'm guessing something like an Oe/HS820 proj.(20x139/20x128),as the boattail profile and iron driving band are features of these.
Also the meaning of the square symbol on the base?

Hi, in french square symbol is used for recognition of inert/Training ammo.

Your projo has the base type of a Rheinmetal 20 mm but the rifling is not from the RK202H weapon-nice find and I hope you get more info on it.

The Giat/Nexter 20M693 fires the same 20x139 ammo as the Rh 202.
