Hello,

I try to find out when the British MC Bombs were used for the first time. This is what I have found in some documentations & books till now:

MC 250 lb. Mk I, II = January 1944 (Source: drawing in AP 1661B)

MC 500 lb. Mk I = June 1942 (Source : Belehrungsblatt über Beseitigung feindlicher Abwurfmunition)

MC 500 lb. Mk II, III, IV = End 1942 (Bomb Gone, the development and use of British air dropped weapons from 1912 to the present day)

MC 500 lb. Mk V = December 1943 (Source: drawing in AP 1661B)

MC 500 lb. Mk VI - XI = February 1944 (Source: drawing in AP 1661B)

MC Mk XII = ?

MC 1000 lb. Mk I, II = December 1942 (Source: Bomb Gone, the development and use of British air dropped weapons from 1912 to the present day & drawing in AP 1661B)

Has somebody better and more accurate information about the use of these MC bombs?

Greetings - Antoon
