Does anyone have any information about this fuze please?
The timing ring on the top goes from 15 to 93.
Plenty of nice clear markings on this but no date. When was it used?
Thanks.
Dave.
Thanks Yodamaster.
Does anyone have a photo or drawing of the complete flare and fuze?
Does anyone have a cutaway or drawing of the internals of the fuze that they can post please.
Thanks,
Dave.
And it's conventional use by the British is mentioned in the thread. Just for the record it was also used in trials (and perhaps operationally) by the SOE R & D organisation in connection with container dropping. The idea being to drop containers from a relatively safe height for the aircraft with the fuze being used to deploy the parachute 'near' the ground.
