Does anyone know if there's any external differences between the chemical versions of the French 105mm Mle 1915 projectile and the 105mm Mle 1915 Schneider projctile.

Same size without gaine : 412mm
It's not easy to make the difference between 105mm Mle 14 and Schneider type when the shell is unfuzed and without gaine.
On diagrams the driving band of 105mm Mle 14 is at 76mm from the base and 78mm for the Schneider type.
When HE shells are fuzed it's easier because gaine and fuze are very different (gaine thread 47/55 for Mle14, 47.5/55 for Schneider).
Chemical shells Mle14 and Schneider are fitted with a special gaine. I assume chemical Shneider type are very rare. Maybe we found it sometimes but we are not able to make the difference with Mle14.
