Looks like a case for the French 37x202R tube cannon. Used in a subcal device and in QR naval guns and experimently in aircraft. Comes with a variety of projectile types and was used by Italy in their 37/40 ,guns.
 
Yes to above, yours is just prior to WW2 1937 so it takes later dated projectiles, usually for Navel subcalibre practice. You want a late 30s dated Mle 1916 solid shot - that is your best bet. There were some trial AA guns that may have used this case also, but information is lacking in any detail.
