French 37mm painted projectiles

I have seen reference to 37mm 'D' projectiles being painted yellow but no other yellow or blue pained projectiles as pictured. I've had these two projectiles in my collection for a long time, kept 'just in case'. The paint is old but does anyone have any information that might support the paint being original? TIA.

Hello,
I've never seen yellow paint on French 37mm model 1888 (filled powder). Our official documentation says : unpainted.
Yes 37mm model 1916 and "D" shape model 1917 were painted yellow.
Same with your shot model 1916 : unpainted

I know nothing about color used by other countries that bought these rounds.

Thanks Minen, you've confirmed my thoughts as regards French use. Let's see if anyone is aware of those colours in other nations use..
