French 37mm Pom Pom case, 1940 date?

Please the photo of a fairly standard French 37mm Pom Pom case but showing in the headstamp ‘15L’ & ‘40’ and the calibre as 37-37 rather than the more usual 37-85. Any thoughts please

Hello,
if I remember correctly 37-37 it refers to cartridge case modification, specifically regarding the primer.
Converted 37-85 with new primer are also observed.

Ah, Ok fert thank you. As you say, the primer is different. Would you consider either of the numbers, 15L and 40 a date?
