French 37mm restored.

Ok had a go at restoring my WW1 french 37mm shell, on the whole iam pleased with how it came out.
first set of pictures, as it was.

And the final stage painting,
Items used very fine wet n dry sand paper, revell satin black and a model putty simply called 'white putty' (by squadron products)

i have AP shot of same caliber but it hasn't looked so good even when it was new
