hi guys, does anyone know the colour scheme and perhaps stencil details of early postwar (1947) French naval anti aircraft HE rounds? In particular, 57mm. any help would be appreciated, cheers, Dave

Is it a french use of a 57mm Bofor gun ?

hi kz11, yes, it has the typical heavy construction of Bofors shells. any ideas of colours etc? cheers, Dave

i think that they adopted the NATO codes (from the sixty years). green + yellow numbers ..

But i have a little doubt for the navy (often independent and conservative).

many thanks for that kz11 - I've heard that Paris in the Spring is magical!! Regards from Verwood
Sorry for the delay but I have just joined BOCN.
Here two pictures of a french 57mm TP-T Model 50 of my collection.

Single banded Old design

The only High Explosive one I have seen is shown below and I believe it is of the older design with a single Driving/Rotating band.
Sadly it had no paint to identify its source
