This is a complete draw set for the french igniter mle 1877 , used for cannons and hand grenades , made by Socit franaise des munitions, certainly previous to 1900.

French friction tubes

Hi spotter,
this is some early variations of french igniters , things very hard to find even after 3 wars !!!!!

I picked up a pair of friction igniters this week one still with the wire(EMPTY TUBE) If i remember correctly i was told the ones i have are geman ?? does anyone have any more info on these ,how old and what gun they were used with
