Does anyone know what the letters GN mean in relation to a French 75mm projectile?

I have a number of references to French Mle 1915 75mm chemical projectiles that have either the letters FN or GN with them.

FN referes to "Fonderie Nationale de Nantes", but can't find anything regarding GN.

Cheers

Pete

The GN code was indeed assigned to both manufacturers Yoda mentions.
Seen the asterix on the 'Noiret' plant, this is a subcontractor/subdivision, and 'Giordan' the main plant (or was it just the opposite?)

info: "Repertoire des sigles ateliers - Forces armes franaises"

Hi Pete
The shells of 75 mm Mle 1915 could be of the GN or FN, this concerned their internal arrangement due to the manufacturing process, the differences were insignificant, noted that the internal volume and the external form remained the same.
This has no relation with the manufacturer code
