hi every1 im new and i just got a new shell from belgium this weekend
i have no idea what it is so i hoped eny of u could help the markings on the bottom say "39-85 PD.Ps 39 2.16"
eny1 know what it is need to know asap thanks, rhyse:frown:

Hi, the markings PD.Ps for "Poudreries de Paris", your shell is well french.
Didn't you have a picture and dimensions ?

The shell on picture is german WW1, no french

The projectile is a German Projectile for a 37mm Sockelflak which used a semi-rimmed 101mm long case instead of the rimmed 94mm long Hotchkiss case like yours.
