After the fall of the "Zona Norte" in 1938, The Spanish Nationalists exposed in the Kursaal of San Sebastian some of thei booty.
This booty included aircraft and their armamanet - guns and bombs.
This of course raised the interest of the military intelligence of the German expeditionary corps - the Legion Condor.
In the Bundsatchive can be found a report of this display. It includes photographies and details of some uncommon bombs - uncommon because their presence in Spain, though suspected, was unprooved by other documents (such as the French 50 kg DT Bomb or the Michelin 155mm long from ww1 time) or because their very existence is puzzling and indicates, among other a wartime development and production of new bombs by the Talleres of Gernika.
The following bomb - a 100kg bomb with noise and tail fuzes and horizontal suspension is especially puzzling - is it a local development and production or an unidentified source foreign model - the double annular reinforcement of the fins is quite iconic.
This is not the 100kg A-7 produced by the Talleres of Gernika - on thsi last bomb therecwas only a Tail fuze and the fins were of different sahpe and without reinforcement.
Who can help with more information/ identification on this bomb?
I'll post in new threads other photographs from this same source - as this is not the only puzzling bomb found there.
