At a recent, non-grenade producing, antique show there was, as consolation, the cast steel door pictured here. The dealer said it was for a piece of farm machinery but couldnt say what. It was marked FROST & WOOD / SMITHS FALLS / CANADA. Frost and Wood of Smith's Falls Ontario was a large manufacturing concern that made farm machinery for years (the cast iron implement seats marked 'Frost & Wood' are quite desirable in these parts) but during WW2 they also made the No36 grenade as well as limbers for the 25 pounder. Know of any other items? If you have an FW marked No36 and it has the red Xs painted around the 2nd from the top ring of body segments it was filled in Canada. If the red Xs are painted around the top ring of segments then it was a grenade that was shipped to England empty and then filled there.
