This is the very large steel bodied " Fuze, BD, M60 ", which was used during WW II and some time later on in the 155mm M112 APHE-projectiles for guns.
The fuze incorporates an impact delay of 0.05sec. This one shown here is dated 1942. Also a hard to find fuze which has a home in the MTRC collection!
