Hi all,
Can anyone identify this fuze?
fuze.jpgfuze1.jpg

it was found in a known WWII U.S artillery area. it is steel with brass internals and has a spring? or thread running horizontally .
It looks like a blanking cap??
Help.
Ted

It is the main steel body of a U.S. PD-Delay/Superquick fuze like an M51 series among others. Used on HE nose fuzed style projectiles from 75mm through 280mm.
