Fuze No117 Mk111 Container

This empty tin is in nice condition and is for a No117 Mk111 fuze.
Made by BSA and filled by BR (who is this?) in 1-45.
Dimensions are 200mm long and 67mm diameter. Contains a felt wad but looks very long for a No117 fuze.

The base is marked PRESSCAPS 101F 1X. UPRESSIT TRADEMARK. Does the red paint blob on the base have any meaning?
