Gas/Chemical bottle part?

Shipwreck

Hi everyone. My first post so be gentle!
A bit of a long shot but could this be part of a bottle used to contain a gas shell chemical?
Found on the Somme. It's approx 1 1/2" wide. The reason why I'm not convinced it's not just a regular bottle is that the base is domed, making it unsteady.

Thanks.

Ive not seen weaponised chemical payloads in clear bottles before, so i think it’s probably unlikely.
