German 10,5 cm HE shell with A.Z. 23

What kind of German HE shell of 10,5 cm is this. Should be a F.H. Granate 38 rot.
Only the length is 482 mm, while most HE shell of this model with a A.Z. 23 are 489,2 mm.

Also the weight is normal class III and this one is II. And what is the filling R8?

Repainted with red band to denote "rot" version.
R8 indicates smoke marker No8
I assume 482mm could be correct considering the manufacturing tolerance
 
It's better to use the length without fuze for identification. For this the tolerance is 390,9 mm - 395,2 mm.

Is it made from one piece or with screwed head piece? There are so many 10,5 shells - I doubt it's a F.H.Gr. rot
