German 2cm projectile

I have not managed to identify this German 2cm projectile using the book in the photo, there are no stamps or arrows and the band is steel, maybe just a "rushed" practice projectile,comments welcome,thanks

This being is a 20x138/B APHE-SD-T.
As the Tracer/SD element is in situ ... it might well be live!!!
The only way this is safe, is when the entire tracer has been drilled out and you can see right into the tip of the HE cavity.
When not so, have EOD take care of it.
When so .... there is one moron lucky to be alive!

How deep can you see into the cavity?
When not more than 10 mm or so, and at the end there is a 1.5 mm hole ... IT IS NOT SAFE!
When approx. 5cm .... former statement is repeated ... one moron is lucky to be alive today, ...but it is safe.
One caveat ... when any substance remains beyond the tracer/SD plug ... it is HE. In which case -> EOD.

Well, Glad to know that you are safe

Someone took a huge risk drilling through: the tracer, the SD "transmitter" + top part of the tracer/SD plug and into the HE content.
At least he/she got away with it ...on that occasion...
