German 7,7 cmt

HI.


Has long fell into my hands some 7.7 cmt German shells,
these are without firing, but empty of any hazardous substance!
Unfortunately are misused repainted.


could someone decipher their markings??
Manufacturer??
They could point me the correct color paint scheme?
The same with the fuses??
as would be their markings estencilled about painting?
basically identified your fuzes, and load type projectiles ...


I appreciate all the information possible.

What is the thing strapped on the fuze in #4 image? Only thing I can think of is a destruction device for blowing up a stash of ammo.

That is the separately shipped striker which had to be installed before firing. I have never seeon on in such a great condition and also not the holder for it. The projectiles seem to be all early post WW1. Outstanding items! Strip the useless paint (not the original one) and keep these items as they are.

It comes the sensibility pin to the fuze EKZ 16.
This is kept separate from the fuze, but held on to it through this muzzlet
 
Thanks for the info. It really must be an early round to expend all that material and time to secure the fuze for traveling. Can you imagine the cost in materials and time if the British did that on the millions of 18 pdrs they fired off in WW1?

The fuze is an EKZ 16 bew (abbreviated from beweglicher schlagbolzen) which as the others have said means mobile firing pin. The "bew" was stencilled on the side of the fuze and could also be stamped on. The pin carrier is quite a complicated design but also acted as a plug for the hole in the top of the fuze. Richard
 
In this case none of the two fuzes is marked "bew"
Only the markings that can be seen in the photos.

Meaning of marks???


The brown projectile fuze understand is manufactured by NSU???
