Does anyone know how a string of mines were ejected in contact, but were stripprd off from the head of the stack at regular intervals? American "Volcano"sysyem by Honeywell used a plastic strap zig-zagged through the stack, which imparted a lateral sideways motion as well. Coils in strap also electromagnetically connected with coils in mine for arming purposes.
What system did the AT2 by Dynamit Nobel use to arm and cause regular separation. Perhaps the hemispherical leading portion of mine allowed the mine ahead to tilt, helping separation? Were there wires from each mine, which parted on projection?
