A nice one with red markings B-Stoff from Bocn (I assume it's an original marking).

Hello,
thank you for your help!

@MINENAZ: marking in red B stoff, visible in 3rd 4th pic you post. Other founded with green color without marking.

Do you think, construction with or without base plug, was showing of type filling?
best regards

Hello Fert,

Diagrams of gas grenades without base plug are well known but I've never seen a real one. These grenade was made with a porcelain or lead ball inside, maybe to protect the thin steel wall from corrosive agents.
I assume german used same body as smoke and incendiary grenades with base plug for gas filling (markings b-stoff of our original examples are an evidence). Sorry no documentation.

Regards.

Hi Fert
Construction with filler plug applies only smoke grenades (Nebel) Body paint in Grey N in Black
These two models without plug (container in lead or porcelain) are filling to chemical agents (B-Stoff or B C-Stoff or C) Body paint in Grey letters in Red
I have no details on an incendiary grenade (Brand) of the same model

Hello Jean-Paul,

What about original markings B-Stoff on grenades with a base plug ?
Even if there is no documentation about it, it's easy to use a body with base plug and fill it with toxic agent (no corrosive filling, or with a short term protection inside).
I see everyday original strange combination of ordnance not listed in our manuals.

Of the examples i've seen, only the models without a plug have contained toxic material. However, as MinenAZ16 says, everyday we encounter examples of ordnance not seen before.
