German? Bomb Puzzle??

Unfortunately it was from a 1940s negative taken in Leicestershire, UK, just labelled as 'unexploded bomb'. The negative is 1940s but the caption is modern, so it could be wrong.

It does look like it could be made of stone and blasted there by an explosion but it does look 'bomb-like' - particularly the 'weld'?
 
Came across this picture which shows some resemblance with part of your object. According to the description it appears to be an unexploded German parachute mine (in a Liverpool garden - 1940).

The german "HC" bombs were classified under two denominations

SA : only one model of 4000 kg
SB : two models 1000 and 2500 kgs.

This one seems to be the SB 1000.

This one from Liverpool garden is probably LM B sea mine (1000 kg). Luftwaffe sometimes used them against land targets, as a powerful blast bombs.

That is not a high capacity bomb, it is a LMB (british designation GC) parachute mine with the parachute housing intact. 1000kg all up wieght with 705kg of hexanite charge.
