Hello,

I am looking for information, photographs and drawings of the German Großladungsbombe SB 1000/410 for a article I am writing.

This High Capacity bomb was special build for the bomb bay of the Messerschmitt Me 410 bomber. The only lot number I know is from 8 December 1943 and the first bombing raids on the United Kingdom were in January 1944. The lot number was: 2 hrt 8.12.43.

Ik know the dimensions etc., but want to know more about the development, factory or factories where the bombs were made (see lot number), total amount that were built and from which Luftwaffe aerodromes these Me 410 bombers with a SB 1000/410 bomb on board took of.

As far as I know the charge/weight ratio was not 80 %, but around 72 %, and how manny procent of the mail filling was Biscuit filling?

Also what is the difference between a bomb fuze (55) A and (55) A/M? The last one was, as far as I know, only used in the SB 1000/410.

On the attached picture, the bomb is missing the front part.

Greetings - Antoon
