IMG-20130402-00469.jpg Picked this up at a local car boot sale. The lady I bought it off said it came from Normandy. It has a bit of worm but is in good condition otherwise. It is stamped 1943 0n the end and the front of the box is stencilled Heersmunitions which I guess is Army Ammunition. Just wondering which cartridges it held and which gun used them. it contained "Sonderkartuschen" (extra charges for enhanced range) for the "schwere Feldhaubitze 18" (15 cm heavy field howitzer).

Thanks for the info everyone. Will trade it for nicely marked ww2 British box if interested. Cheers Hangarman
