german case brass electroplating

i did think about using a stronger filler. i'm a builder and often use epoxy anchor resin for fixings. i couldn''t imagine a tougher filler. i think i'll give it a go
 
thanks quincy i also thought about soldering the cases. i have a very well equipped restoration workshop and have soldered large items before and have gotten quite good at it but like you said i'm not sure how the chemicals would react
