German cluster bomb binding straps??

I have been told that these metal straps were for binding together bigger cluster bombs for Luftwaffe use. They can be connected to different lengths. However they are somewhat different from what I can find in my reference books. Can anyone confirm? Plenty of them were found from a former Luftwaffe storage area here some years ago.
I listed them some time ago at SA but they got no bids.
