German grenade parts

F0031

Well-Known Member
I have collected these relic German grenade parts from various sources. I am tempted to assemble a complete grenade from them, but that would mean further damaging the handle or the head. What to people think? The parts are unrelated. Perhaps better to leave well alone.

Heres my tuppence worth. Both parts are damaged to some respect and assuming neither part has any historical connections i woluld put the pieces together to make one complete grenade.
