German Late War Hand Grenade

Hello, not sure this is the right place to put this post, so I do apologize if it's not. I acquired this small mug which was made (well that's what I was told) from the unfinished body of the German M-43 Stiehlhandgranat, however, when receiving it, I noticed that the dimensions are much smaller: length 73mm diameter 60mm. The bottom shows where the whole for the fuze should have been (see central circle in the first photo). Were the Germans at the very end of the war manufacturing smaller versions of the M-43 potatoe masher? TIA.
